Registration Announcement
Registration for the first European Suzuki Flute Gathering, ESFG 2025, will open on
December 20, 2024.
Deadline: June 18 (Registrations will be closed as soon as the number of participants reaches the maximum allowed).

 

ESFG … a weekend by flautists for flautists!
An opportunity for Suzuki Flute Teachers and Students from across Europe to meet, play music, teach and learn, all in the spirit of celebrating Suzuki Flute in a welcoming environment. Registration fees will be kept as low as possible. Those who teach at ESFG 2025 will do so on a volunteer basis.
ESFG attendees pay a modest workshop fee to cover operating costs.
ESFG is a weekend event from Friday afternoon (+/- 4pm) to Sunday afternoon (+/- 2pm). ESFG is oriented towards community building, exploring ways to share experiences and new ideas to increase Suzuki Flute visibility within the larger European Suzuki community and beyond.

 

Location

ESFG 2025 will take place in the Youth Hostel in Limburg, a little town close to Frankfurt Airport (ca. 50 km), a medieval town with half-timbered houses, castle courtyards, the cathedral, the Lahn bridge and the landgrave’s castle. On the large outdoor area of the youth hostel, you will find volleyball courts, a streetball hoop, climbing trees and a football pitch. There are indoor and outdoor table tennis tables.

Registration fees

First parent/guardian in family €30,00
Second and subsequent parent(s)/ guardians €10,00
Suzuki Teacher or Observer €40,00
First Suzuki Flute Student in family €65,00
Second/subsequent Suzuki Flute Student €55,00
Sibling aged between 4 and 6 €10,00
Note: This category is for siblings who are not Suzuki flute students. They may be eligible to take part in ESFG classes for non-flautists
Sibling aged 3 and younger free
Master class for flute students (20 minutes) €20,00 (additional)
Note: Master classes will be limited in number. Priority will be given based on the date of registration.

 

Accommodation fees
The organisation is not responsible for booking accommodation and meals. All participants will have to make their own reservation and payment by contacting the facility independently. Below are the rates of the Youth Hostel in Limburg that will host us for the event and some suggestions for other facilities in the area.
Considering the Youth Hostel’s policies, it is advisable to book rooms as soon as possible to avoid not finding a place.
Considering the timing of the activities, it is strongly recommended that those who are not staying at the hostel book meals at the Limburg hostel.
For teachers, if necessary and upon their request, the organisation can manage the reservation in the hostel up to a limited number of places and by March 30th.

ESFG 2025 will include:
Flute group classes for Suzuki flute students at all levels. A review list of Suzuki repertoire and any other music to be used in the group classes will be distributed before the Gathering.
All Suzuki flautists who attend will have many opportunities to participate in sessions that correspond with their level of experience.
A fun music learning for small children with Children’s Music Laboratory.
A final concert with all participants on Sunday.
Master classes will be offered in limited numbers. Priority will be given based on the date of registration.
Seminars, given by Suzuki teachers, open to all interested attendees.
Saturday evening flute recital.
Meetings and discussions among teachers and parents, with lots of informal discussion, opportunities to meet other flautists, community building…
A more detailed schedule will follow closer to the date of the event.
